Watch: Ariana Grande, Ricky Álvarez Are on Honeymoon Avenue With PDA-Filled Instagram Dump
Ariana Grandeput a spring in the step of one lucky marathon runner.
The “Into You” singer and boyfriend RickyÁlvarez helped influencer EllaSchweiger create a random act of kindness during the New York City Marathon Nov. 1, writing an encouraging note for Schweiger to share with a runner after the race.
In a video posted to Instagram Nov. 2, Schweiger could be seen approaching Álvarez and Grande as they watched the marathon from the crowd, asking if they wouldn’t mind writing the note. And Grande—who was dressed incognito with a face mask—was more than happy to make sure someone had a message after the final stretch. On her notecard, the 33-year-old drew three hearts and wrote, “You did it, Ari + Ricky.”
Following the marathon, Schweiger had runners pick out a note from her trademark giant envelope and was delighted when someone nabbed Grande’s message.
“I can’t believe you picked that one. That’s from Ariana Grande,” she shared with the lucky recipient. “She wrote that this morning.”
And the marathoner was beside herself with shock, revealing that she was even listening to Grande’s “The Way” to help her go the distance.
Schweiger also expressed her gratitude in her Instagram caption, saying, “It was so lovely of her to take the time to write a message for a complete stranger who just did one of the toughest challenges in the world!”
“Then getting to deliver it to the most amazing girl and see her reaction was just was incredible,” she continued. “Ariana, thank you for being part of it and to everyone who wrote a message, you made someone’s day.”
The day after Grande and Álvarez enjoyed their private date out in NYC, the “7 Rings” singer gave a more public glimpse into their romance in a Nov. 2 Instagram carousel, posting a photo of the two embracing as they made intimate eye contact with each other.

Grande and Álvarez first dated from 2015 to 2016, but rekindled their romance earlier this year following her split from Wicked costar EthanSlater.
The Grammy winner also shared a special message to Álvarez while on tour, proving he could be her finish-line, as she changed the lyrics of her song “thank u, next” from, “Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh,” to, ”Wrote some songs about Ricky / I’m tryna make him my last.”
