Glenn Maxwell retires: Career record, titles won as Australian all-rounder quits international cricket

Glenn Maxwell, one of Australia’s finest white-ball cricketers in the last two decades, decided to bring the curtain down on his long and illustrious international career as he announced his retirement on Monday, November 2.

The 38-year-old all-rounder mentioned in an interview that he has already played his last match for the Australian ODI side, less than a year before the 2027 World Cup.

In 2025, Maxwell had already announced his retirement from T20I, and with him no longer considering playing ODIs, it meant the end of his career with the Australian national team.

Maxwell made his international debut for Australia way back in 2012, and in his 14-year-long career, the power-hitter played 149 ODIs, 130 T20Is and 7 Test matches.

He has won several accolades with the national team as well, including two ODI World Cups in 2015 and 2023 and the T20 World Cup in 2021.
