Reagan and Roosevelt are battling for their playoff lives in the Express-News Game of the Week. There are several other games this week that have the same stakes. Judson and East Central, most notably, is one of them. Here are the other top games in Week 10:

Clark vs. Brandeis, 7 p.m. Thursday, Farris Stadium: No. 19 Brandeis (5-3 overall) is surging after opening District 28-6A play with losses against Johnson and Reagan. Since then, the Broncos have pinned wins against Churchill (33-29), Roosevelt (49-28) and Madison (51-35). That puts them at 3-2 in league play tied with Churchill for third and one ahead of Clark and Roosevelt (both 2-3). The Broncos can virtually clinch a playoff spot with a win. As usual, senior Wynter Smith led the way for Brandeis against Madison last week with 221 rushing yards and 146 passing yards. Clark (2-6 overall) kept its playoff hopes alive after last week’s 49-14 win against Roosevelt. Senior receiver Elisha Johnson caught 13 passes for a career-best 270 yards and two touchdowns and passed for another score. Brandeis leads the all-time series, 14-4.

Brackenridge vs. Harlandale, 7 p.m. Friday, Harlandale Memorial Stadium: Harlandale (5-3, 5-1 District 14-5A-II) still have league championship hopes despite a 32-27 loss against Sam Houston last week. The Indians will have to knock off a resurgent Brackenridge program that has qualified for the postseason for the first time since 2021. The Eagles (6-2, 4-2) are locked in the fourth spot and have a Hail Mary’s chance at gaining a share of the league title. Brackenridge last won six games in 2021. Since then, they went 5-35 including winless seasons in 2023 and 2024 entering 2026. Yup, it’s been a dry spell. An Indians victory guarantees next week’s Frontier Bowl against McCollum will be for at least a share of the district title. Harlandale leads the all-time series 16-12. Brackenridge last beat Harlandale in 2014.

East Central vs. Judson, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Rutledge Stadium: East Central (5-3 overall) and Judson (3-4) are tied with Clemens for third place in 27-6A, meaning the loser of this game might need help getting into the postseason. Steele (5-0) is a win away from clinching a district championship and Pieper (4-1) can secure a playoff spot with a win against Clemens on Friday. East Central’s district losses have come against Steele (34-17) and Pieper (62-31) over the last two weeks. Judson has losses against the same opponents – Steele (57-12) and Pieper (43-42). Judson leads the all-time series 24-11 that started in 1970.

Kerrville Tivy at Canyon Lake, 7:30 p.m. Friday: Ridiculously high-scoring Tivy (8-0, 5-0 13-4A-I) can clinch at least a share of the league championship with a victory against Canyon Lake (5-2, 4-1). The Antlers last won a district title in 2019. Tivy has scored 538 points and reached at least 70 points five times, including last week’s 80-0 win against Austin Northeast. Sophomore quarterback Cohen Stehling has passed for 1,821 yards and 25 touchdowns and senior running back Aiden Zavala has 1,183 yards and 21 touchdowns on 149 carries. Canyon Lake defeated Northeast 70-6 two weeks ago and downed Fredericksburg 50-32 last week to hand the Billies their first district loss. Senior quarterback Jace Wheeler has thrown for 1,752 yards and 20 touchdowns. This is their first meeting.
