The Indianapolis Colts have officially started their fire sale before the upcoming NFL trade deadline on November 10.
So far this week, the Colts have pulled off two trades. Those deals sent star offensive line Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks and star defensive tackle DeForest Buckner back to the San Francisco 49ers.

Nelson was acquired by the Seahawks in exchange for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round selection. As for Bucker, the 49ers only had to give up a 2027 fourth-round pick to get him.
While the two moves were blockbuster deals, it doesn’t seem likely that Indianapolis is done. Josh Downs, Grover Stewart, and Jonathan Taylor have all come up as possible trade candidates. Of course, Taylor is the big name out of that group.
Whether or not the Colts will actually move Taylor remains to be seen. However, the star running back has spoken out honestly with his thoughts as the rumors persist.

As shared by Mike Chappel of Fox 59 in Indianapolis, Taylor is focusing on football rather than the rumors. He still seems to love playing for the Colts.

“I haven’t heard anything, and I can’t control that,” Taylor said. “Obviously, I’m always proud to wear the horseshoe and proud to be here. Similar to Quenton and Buck, they were proud to wear the horseshoe and proud to be here. But circumstances may cause otherwise. Hopefully, that day doesn’t come, but I can’t control that.”
Taylor has been the workhorse for the Indianapolis offense in recent years. He is one of the best running backs in the NFL. Keeping him around would be ideal for the Colts, but they could acquire good draft capital if they chose to move him.
So far this season in seven games played, Taylor has carried the football 140 times for 587 yards and eight touchdowns. He has also caught 17 passes for 178 yards.
Last season, the superstar running back put up massive numbers. He racked up 1,585 yards and 18 touchdowns on 323 carries, while also catching 46 passes for 378 yards and two more scores.

Expect to continue hearing rumors about Taylor as the trade deadline draws closer. For now, he is simply focused on playing for the Colts and is not paying attention to the outside noise.
