The Los Angeles Lakers have done a lot of team bonding over the summer. This story about a new addition that JJ Redick shared is on a different level, though.
The LA Lakers have made huge changes to their roster this season. LeBron James, Rui Hachimura, Marcus Smart, and others have departed. Walker Kessler, Collin Sexton, and Quentin Grimes are among the replacements.

The team bonded with one another in Slovenia after Luka Doncic invited all of them for a trip to his home country. It seems they have all been getting along well back in the United States, too.
Head coach JJ Redick is one of the younger coaches in the league. As such, he has also been developing relationships with the new stars. He shared the hilarious result of one of these interactions on media day.

Like many popular and wealthy athletes, JJ Redick owns a home in Sag Harbor, New York. He apparently agreed to let Grimes use the guest house at some point during the summer.

However, things did not go according to plan. The head coach shared the story of the shenanigans that followed, and it is quite hilarious.
“Quick story. So he (Grimes), bring his friend over to Sag Harbor,” Redick recounted. “I’m very detail oriented, so I provide him with the address of my guesthouse. It’s a very specific address…
“I give him the thing, I tell him where the key is to get in. I say, ‘When you walk in, there’s a first bedroom. There’s a second floor, second bedroom. Make yourself at home, there’s a gym down in the basement, everything you need. Very clear.

“So I get back from golf that morning to go over to the gym with him, pick him up. There’s no one in my guesthouse. But he has told me that he has arrived and they are in the guesthouse. So I’m looking all over for him, can’t find him, can’t find an extra car.
“I go on his Instagram, he’s posted a picture from another house in my neighbourhood, of the pool. With the hashtag ‘Hamptons life’ or something like that. So I text him, ‘Where the f are you, dude?’ They had gone into one of my neighbours’ homes and gone into their guesthouse.”
The story had the panel, including former Laker Danny Green, laughing along as Redick was sharing it. Lakers fans will be hoping that Grimes is able to follow Redick’s instructions on the court much better than he was able to off it.
