Courtesy of New York LibertyPauline Astier is having a stellar year, between singing with New York Liberty for her rookie WNBA season, becoming a hidden gem scoring player on the court, and styling casual-cute outfits for her tunnel fits. It’s safe to say she’s got it figured out.
And while we love watching basketball for the game, our shopping minds are always buzzing with what products our favorite players are using on and off the court. We chatted with the French guard on all things fashion and beauty.
And just like she’s excellent at shifting the game’s tempo and clinching a win, Astier is also amazing at recommending products. She told us everything we needed to know about her routine—from the Coach bag she’s “currently obsessed with” to the French-Korean beauty brand she’s been using for years.

- Her Go-To Beauty Brand She’s Loved for Years: Erborian
- The Sunscreen She Wears on The Court: La Roche-Posay Anthelios Mineral Light Fluid Sunscreen
- Her Recent Signature Scent: BYREDO Alto Astral Eau de Parfum
Pauline Astier’s Must-Have Coach Shoulder Bag
The Liberty player keeps it classy and comfortable for her tunnel fits. She pairs denim (shorts, jeans, or jorts) with simple (but fun) tops, gold jewelry, and a pair of sunglasses. Still, there’s one piece she can’t put down lately: her newest Coach bag.
“I’ll usually carry a bag with me—really obsessed with my suede Coach Brooklyn Bag lately—and wear a pair of sandals,” Astier told E!. “I also have loved stopping by Sunglass Hut and the locker they provide for us at games to pick out a pair of sunglasses to really elevate the look.”

“Really obsessed with my suede Coach Brooklyn Bag lately,” Astier told E!. And for good reason, with its cool-toned brown shade, buttery suede material, and gold hardware.
Her New Go-To Beauty Product This Season:
When it comes to her skincare and makeup routine, Astier is all about her seasoned favorites. The one area she’s been experimenting with this season is with her nails.
“A beauty product I’ve started using this season is Essie’s nail polishes,” she told E!. “I normally use more subtle colors like ‘Ballet Slippers’ or ‘Barn Boheme’ to keep my nails nice and neat. I think it suits my style more.” She’s all about the classic pale pink or neutral shades.
Essie Nail Polish in Ballet Slippers
Essie’s Ballet Slippers shade is an iconic color. It features a classic pale pink shade, full coverage, and a glossy shine finish.
Essie Nail Art Studio Jelly Gloss Nail Polish
Essie’s Barn Bohème shade is a darker, rosy neutral color in a jelly formula with blue and red undertones, a vegan formula, and a sheer (but buildable) finish.

Her Skincare Must-Haves:
Astier swears by this hidden-gem skincare brand in her routine. “I’ve been using Erborian for years! It’s a Korean-French skincare brand that’s very popular in France,” she told E!.
She always starts with double-cleansing her skin with an oil-based cleanser and a gel cleanser to get rid of all the makeup, SPF, and sweat from her face. Then, she keeps it simple by using Caudalie’s gentle vitamin C alternative to keep her skin smooth.
Erborian Centella Cleansing Gel
“Eborian’s cleansing gel is perfect for keeping up with my skin between sweating on the court, working out at practices, hopping on and off flights, and everything in between,” Astier told E!.
Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Dark Spot Serum
“I also use Caudalie’s Vinoperfect for a good boost of vitamin C in my night routine,” Astier said.
Astier’s Step-by-Step Routine for Game Days & Post-Game Recovery:
On game days, Astier keeps it pretty simple. “I always wear sunscreen, even in the winter,” she told E!. For makeup, she uses a tinted sunscreen and a BB cream as concealer for her complexion. No eye makeup or mascara, there!
For her hair, Astier styles it with her iconic slick-back bun on the court. “I start with a quick spritz of water to make it easier to handle, or a bonding oil to help protect from breakage and add a nice shine,” she told us. “I keep everything held back with a hair wax stick, which I think is better for your hair than a typical gel.”
For her post-game recovery, she prioritizes her bodycare routine with a relaxing stretch and a hot bath. “It’s really important for me to take care of my whole body, including my skin,” Astier said. “The last step for me before I head out of the locker room after a game is a hair and body mist or fragrance.” Her go-to? “I’ve been loving Alto Astral from BYREDO!”
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Mineral Light Fluid Sunscreen
“I think my skin looks so much better when I use the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Sunscreen. It doesn’t melt off during practice or a game, and it’s a great base for any other makeup that goes over it,” Astier told E!.
Erborian CC Cream Color-Corrector
“I like the Erborian CC Cream concealer – again, it’s super lightweight and great for everyday wear. I think it looks great under the lights at Barclays Center or out and about exploring Brooklyn,” she said.
Bed Head Hair Wax Stick
This viral must-have wax stick gives any hairstyle instant strong hold, definition, or texture. Plus, it’s easy to apply (and reapply) on the go.
L’Occitane Soothing Karité Confort Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream
“After a stretch and a hot bath, I usually use L’Occitane. I really like their body cream. It’s very moisturizing and feels like I’m properly hydrating my whole body,” Astier told E!.
BYREDO Alto Astral Eau de Parfum
Astier told us she’s been loving Alto Astral from BYREDO as her go-to fragrance recently. It features notes of aldehydes, coconut water, incense, jasmine petals, milky musks, sandalwood, cashmere wood, and salted amber.
Tips to Stay Fresh While Playing:
For Astier, being disciplined with her skincare is just as important as her game. “Taking care of your skin isn’t very different from taking care of your body to be able to perform as an elite athlete,” Astier told E!. “You have to create a program that works for you and your needs or goals, and be disciplined about your routines!”
She recommends this face mist to get you looking (and feeling) fresh all day long:
Avène Thermal Spring Water
“My skin can get quite dry, so I always have Avène’s Eau Thermale spray in my bag so I can spritz on the go. It keeps me cool and helps my face stay moisturized,” Astier told E!.
