Watch: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Enjoy Stylish NYC Date Night Amid Wedding Buzz
Grab a pen and an old napkin—because you’re going to want to write down everything about Taylor Swift’s latest look.
The “Our Song” singer stepped out in New York June 11 for the Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and trust, she’s making the whole place shimmer.
Swift, who not joined by fiancé Travis Kelce for the occasion, wore a strapless black gown with a corset bodice and high slit from Alice + Olivia on the red carpet outside of Marriott Marquis Hotel. She paired figure-hugging dress with diamond and citrine earrings by Mindi Mond.
While Swift is truly dazzling, she’s not the only star to receive the Hall of Fame honor this year. Kenny Loggins, Walter Afanasieff, Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, KISS’ Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart and Alanis Morrissette are also set to be honored during this year’s ceremony.
Indeed, the “Opalite” singer’s peers have crafted equally iconic tracks like “All I Want For Christmas Is You” (Afanasieff) and “You Oughta Know” (Morrissette).
But, Swift is making a bit of additional history with her induction. At 36 years old, she’s officially the youngest woman to have received the honor by nearly a decade. (Carole Bayer Sager previously held the record as the youngest woman, having been inducted at age 43 in 1987, while Stevie Wonder is the youngest person ever to have received the honor at age 32 in 1983.)
Among the 14-time Grammy winner’s tracks that solidified her catalogue for the honor include “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version),” “Blank Space” “Anti-Hero,” “Love Story” and “The Last Great American Dynasty.”
And for her, that folklore track—which is an homage to her Rhode Island home and its former owner Rebekah Harkness—stands out asone of her favorite examples of a plot twist ending to a song in her discography.

“You talk about the house she lived in on the coast,” Swift explained to The New York Times in an interview published in April. “And in the end you’re like: ‘She moved away from Holiday House. It sat quietly on that beach, free of women with madness, their men and bad habits. And—and then it was bought by me.’”
Meanwhile, Swift also emphasized her love for her reimagined and expanded “All Too Well,” originally released in 2012.
When pressed for her all-time favorite song she’s ever written during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last year, Swift admitted, “It’s constantly changing, and it’s a little too soon but I think number one is ‘All Too Well,’ the ten-minute version.”
Swift’s songwriting capabilities may define her legacy, but she contains multitudes. For more fascinating facts about her, keep reading…
