Watch: Taylor Frankie Paul Admits to Cheating on Bachelorette’s Doug Mason With Dakota Mortensen
Taylor Frankie Paul is letting fans in on a secret about her love life.
After The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star admitted to cheating on her former fiancé Doug Mason—who received the final rose on her unaired season of The Bachelorette—with ex Dakota Mortensen, she shared insight into how her personal life looks today.
“Sorry to those that thought they were going to see my redemption arc,” Taylor wrote over a photo of herself on Instagram Sept. 12. “That has slowly just begun. I’ve stayed in, single and celibate this entire time and nobody will have intimate access to me again unless he’s my person and that’s a promise to myself.”
In fact, the 32-year-old—mom to a son with Dakota as well as two kids with ex-husband Tate Paul—shared that it’s only up from here in her personal life.
“We got to see me breaking then shortly after I was sought to be destroyed and instead it ricocheted,” she wrote in the caption. “Maybe my prayers are heard after all. Such a long way to go but baby steps.”
ICYMI, Taylor dropped the bombshell about her dating life during the very first episode of SLOMW season five. While in conversation with costars Jessi Draper, Mikayla Matthews and Mayci Neeley, Taylor revealed Doug got down on one knee during the Bachelorette finale—which was ultimately canceled after a 2023 domestic violence video between her and Dakota surfaced—and that she said yes.
However, once the cameras stopped rolling on the dating show, she reunited with Dakota.
“Obviously we’re texting,” Taylor said of communicating with Dakota. “‘When are you coming home? When are you going to be home?’ I don’t know how it led to it, but he came over.”

And after her friends teased her about “not knowing how it happened,” Mayci filled in the blank of what occurred next: “You sleep with Dakota.”
To which Taylor—who at this time was still engaged to Doug—affirmed, “Yes.”
But when Mayci noted, “So you cheated,” Taylor responded, “I don’t like the word cheating.”
E! News previously reached out to a rep for Dakota for comment but did not hear back.
Though Taylor didn’t see any harm in the love triangle, she also didn’t see eye to eye with her costars when they expressed how eerily similar they found Doug and Dakota to be.

“Was there a part of you,” Jessi asked in a clip shared on Hulu’s Get Real podcast Sept. 3, “that was like, ‘He looks like Dakota?’”
For Taylor, the answer was no. As she put it, “I didn’t start thinking that until people said it around me. I actually did not see it the night I met him at all.”
But Jessi didn’t let her friend entirely off the hook, pointing out that Dakota and Doug not only have the same initials, but that it’s also “so weird” that they’re both from Idaho.
Taylor responded, “See I didn’t learn all that until later.”
