Ric Flair is recovering after a terrifying fall.
After the retired pro wrestler was hospitalized following a fall in Florida Oct. 23, he shared an update on his well-being.
“Thank You All For The Messages And Prayers!” Flair wrote on Instagram Oct. 23. “I Will Get Back To You Each Individually As I Get Stronger. Thank You To All The Tampa General Hospital Staff And Doctors That Put Up With Me Until 4:30am. I Appreciate You All And Thank You For Everything You Did For Me!”
Though the 77-year-old didn’t shed any light on his injuries, he did share a selfie of himself sitting in a chair with an eyepatch on. And as Flair takes time to bounce back from the spill, he emphasized that he’s “Focused On My Healing And Recovery Right Now.”
He added, “I Will Be Okay!”
While he was in the hospital, Flair also clarified that it wasn’t him who was posting throwback clips from his WWE days to his Facebook account.
“And Just So You Know For Those Who Were Asking And Wondering, I Don’t Own My Own Facebook Page Anymore,” he wrote. “I Apologize For The Reckless Posting Behavior On My Facebook When I Was In The Hospital. It Was Completely Inappropriate!”

But even in his darkest moments, Flair is never above cracking a good joke. After all, his daughter Charlotte Flair—whom he shares with ex-wife Elizabeth Harrell—shared insight into her dad’s antics as he was receiving medical attention.
“Not my dad telling the doctor he fell bc of warrior dropping him on his head…,” the 40-year-old wrote on X Oct. 23. “(ps: he’s going to be ok).”
While Flair—also dad to kids David Flair and Megan Flair with ex-wife Leslie Goodman as well as late son Reid Flair with Harrell—didn’t share what led to the blunder, he revealed hours earlier that he was forced to cancel an appearance in Seattle due to a blood clot in his leg.

“I Want To Sincerely Apologize To My Agent, Steve Solomon @solomonsportsssg, Washington State Horror Con @wahorrorcon, @bigeventny, And Especially All My Fans In Seattle For Having To Cancel My Scheduled Appearance,” he wrote on Instagram. “Unfortunately, I Am Dealing With A Blood Clot In My Leg, And My Doctors Have Limited My Travel To 3–4 Hours. Seattle Falls Outside That Range, And As Disappointed As I Am, I Have To Put My Health And Recovery First.”
Noting that “Blood Clots Are Extremely Serious And Can Be Life-Threatening,” Flair shared he was set to undergo a procedure in which doctors would “strip” the affected vein.
“I Look Forward To Getting Healthy And Seeing You All Down The Road,” he concluded. “Thank You For The Love And Support.”
