Pakistan’s last ODI trophy is the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, a title they collected at The Oval in London after beating India by 180 runs in the final under Sarfaraz Ahmed. Pakistan won its first multi-nation title in the 1985/86 season, when it won both the John Player Triangular Tournament in Sri Lanka and the Austral-Asia Cup in the UAE. Over the next three decades, the team became the most reliable tournament side in neutral conditions, particularly in Sharjah.
ODI success for Pakistan has come in three forms, namely ICC and Asian Cricket Council events, multi-nation tri-series and cups, and two-team bilateral series. The four titles at the top level are the 1992 World Cup, the 2000 Asia Cup, the 2012 Asia Cup and the 2017 Champions Trophy, while the rest of the list is made up of tri-series and bilateral wins.
The wait could end soon, as Pakistan are due to meet Sri Lanka in the final of the ODI tri-series in Lahore. Pakistan beat England by one wicket in the group stage and then lost to Sri Lanka by eight wickets, after which the two teams were set to meet in the final on Saturday. The full records are laid out below.

The Champions Trophy triumph in England remains Pakistan’s most recent title at ICC or ACC level. The one before it was the 2008 Kitply Cup in Bangladesh, which means the gap between those two titles was also nine years.
