Olivia Miles struggled heavily as the New York Liberty swept the Minnesota Lynx in a historic upset. WNBA fans aren’t too sympathetic to her plight.
The WNBA regular season was as good for Olivia Miles as it has been for any rookie in a long time. The Minnesota Lynx guard was getting MVP shouts at one point.

The postseason is always a different beast, though. The New York Liberty destroyed the Lynx in back-to-back games to become the first-ever eighth seed to oust a first seed in league history.
Miles averaged eight points, five rebounds, and just one assist in her first playoff series. Considering the hype around her, fans are now holding her to the standard which has been set.
As an excellent rookie guard, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft naturally drew comparisons to the likes of Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers during the season.

It’s that sort of love which she was receiving that fans are now bringing up to explain why there is very little sympathy for Miles despite it being her first-ever playoff experience.
