After leading Maryland women’s golf to a French Broad Collegiate Invitational win and taking the individual crown of the tournament, Carolina Perez-Tasso swept the conference’s weekly awards. The freshman was named both All-Big Ten Golfer of the Week and Freshman of the Week.
Perez-Tasso went -5 over the course of the four-day event, taking the win by three strokes over fellow Terp Nicha Kanpai. The pair drove Maryland to a +10 finish Tuesday, 22 strokes better than the second-place finishers as it took down the likes of Penn State and Illinois.
