The high school sports season will enter October this week as postseason play gets closer.
This story provides a look ahead at the week of Sept. 28 – Oct. 2 with games and meets to watch across cross country, girls volleyball and boys soccer for Oshkosh, Fond du Lac schools.

This game could prove to be key as Valley Christian and Oakfield are each in the race to win the Trailways – East Conference. Valley Christian has won nine of its past 10 games, while Oakfield is on a four-game winning streak.

This meet is held at Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Fond du Lac and features seven Oshkosh, Fond du Lac teams in Fond du Lac, North Fond du Lac, Omro, Oshkosh North, Ripon, St. Mary’s Springs and Winnebago Lutheran.
Ripon and Wisconsin Dells are the last two undefeated teams in South Central Conference play. The winner will gain the inside track to winning conference.
Laconia is undefeated in the Flyway Conference, while Campbellsport has just one loss in conference play. This game could be impactful on the race to win the Flyway Conference.

This game features two teams fighting for position in the Flyway Conference. United and Central Wisconsin Christian average 2.7 goals per game.
Laconia’s Bailey Goebel and Gabby Pinno each hit the 500 career assists mark. On the season, Pinno has 239 and Goebel has 193.
Mayville’s Leah Vossekuil has over 500 career kills. She has 199 this season for a Mayville team that holds a 19-6 record.
