While the reality star may not be ready to pull anyone for a chat about what went down between him and Carthen, he did previously share insight into their decision to break up.

“The rumors are true,” he wrote in a July subscribers-only TikTok. “I didn’t want to give people false hope, so I want to clear the air. We will continue to love each other ALWAYS. It’s a sensitive, as well as a private subject, thank you for respecting our privacy.”

As Vansteenberghe navigated their breakup, he shared some much-needed advice for anyone else nursing a broken heart, including “absolutely” remaining friends under one condition.

“If you end healthily, it’s cool,” he explained. “Sometimes it’s better to maybe not be friends, but in my case, yes. We ended on a good note.”

And keeping a positive outlook amid that chapter was essential.

“Things will always get better,” Vansteenberghe emphasized. “It’s rock bottom, but it’s about the climb.”
