The New York Jets came up short against the Detroit Lions but many will remember this one as the breakout game for one player in particular.
The Jets (1-2) lost in the end to the Lions (2-1) in a 31-24 final on the road in Week 3.

While receiver Garrett Wilson led Gang Green with 10 catches, 107 yards and touchdown, it is first-round rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq catching headlines for his nearly identical stat line in only his third game. Sadiq had seven grabs for 105 yards and an impressive diving touchdown.
Despite his individual efforts, especially in the end zone, Sadiq was not ready to take full credit. Instead, he pointed toward quarterback Geno Smith who was 31-for-37 passing for 321 yards and three touchdowns in the outing.
“It was an amazing ball. I was the only one who could get to that,” Sadiq said.
But head coach Aaron Glenn did make sure to send Sadiq his flowers, even if the player did not himself.

“He’s getting every rep possible. He can play multiple positions, as you saw today,” Glenn said via video conference. “He’s a guy that’s athletically on a different level than a lot of TEs in this league, & he’s extremely intelligent. We want to continue to get him to grow & continue to get him the ball. We saw what he can do.”
