The Detroit Lions provided an update on linebacker Jack Campbell, who was carted off on a backboard following a fourth-quarter tackle in Sunday, Nov. 1’s game against the Minnesota Vikings at Ford Field.
“Jack Campbell is resting and will remain in a local hospital tonight, for continued evaluation and monitoring. The team will provide further updates as we have them,” the statement said.

Campbell was transported to a local hospital immediately after being carted off the field of a 19-15 Lions win, according to an announcement from the team at 3:55 p.m. He went limp, face-down after what appeared to be a routine tackle of Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson with 14:48 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Lions coach Dan Campbell reportedly told Brad Galli of Lions Radio Network after the game that Campbell was breathing and alert when being taken off the field on a stretcher.

“Thoughts and prayers are with Jack Campbell and his family,” Dan Campbell said after the game. “He’s being taken care of. We don’t have any new information. We’ll keep you updated as this goes, but we’re thinking about him. We’re thinking about him.”
