Watch: Jinger Duggar Explains Why Husband Jeremy Vuolo Upgraded “Bargain” Wedding Band
Jinger Duggar is detailing a difficult chapter in her motherhood journey.
The Counting On alum, mom to kids Felicity, 8, Evangeline, 6, and Finnegan, 17 months, with husband Jeremy Vuolo, shared her experience with postpartum depression after welcoming their second baby in 2020.
“I remember after having Evie, I had postpartum depression,” Jinger told her sister Joy-Anna Duggar on the Sept. 2 episode of Jinger and Jeremy’s The Jinger and Jeremy Podcast. “It was a little bit later than I expected, too, but I was still nursing her, but I was so down. I could not figure out up from down, couldn’t clean my house, couldn’t get up much.”
But it was her support system who held her up during the challenging period.
“I thank the Lord I had friends who realized what was happening and they told me, ‘You need to get help,’” she recalled. “So, that was really good, but there have been so many seasons and trials that I did not expect.”
But for Jinger—who is the sixth oldest of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar’s 19 kids—faith has “carried” her through the most unpredictable circumstances.
“That’s been stretching for me more than anything in this season is letting go of your expectations and ideals for what you thought life was going to look like and being OK with whatever God allows deep down,” the reality TV star explained. “I think that it’s so easy to have everything mapped out and, without saying it, we have it mapped out in our head.”
“And then when a curveball comes or something that I’m like, ‘Wow, God, do I actually trust you or was I just in a pattern of sweet season that you’ve given me and taking that for granted?’” she continued. “So, regardless, I think that that comes and goes.”

In addition to leaning on her faith, the 32-year-old is also dedicated to keeping her mental health a top priority. As she put it, “Now I’m at a place where it’s choosing joy in those days where it doesn’t feel easy.”
Jinger has long been candid about the ups and downs she’s faced in her motherhood journey. Last year, she and Joy-Anna as well as their sister Jessa Duggar shared the devastating reality of their respective pregnancy losses.
“Mine was at probably six and a half, seven weeks along,” Jinger said on the July 2025 episode of The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast. “I had just announced to the family. We had a big gathering on Zoom because we were in L.A.”
But the special moment took a turn after she began spotting later that night.

“I was just like, ‘Oh, it’s probably fine,’” she recalled. “I know some people have that and we’d be fine. But for me, it wasn’t. It ended up that that was the night when it all turned into, ‘What’s happening?’”
But no matter what life brings, the TLC alum knows Jeremy—whom she wed in 2016—will be by her side through it all.
As she wrote of her husband of nearly 10 years on Instagram Feb. 23, “So glad God knew exactly what I needed.”
