They will be looking around the league to see which teams have an extra quarterback on their roster who they could potentially trade for, and the Cleveland Browns may be one of those teams.
Dillon Gabrielwould make sense for the Giants to bring in as a short-term fix. Gabriel has significant college experience and also played in several regular-season games for the Browns last year. Shedeur Sanders would be a more complicated option for them to pursue through a trade. There were rumors during the 2025 draft that New York was interested in drafting Sanders. If there is still interest, Sanders could be a player they want to bring in.
