    Watch: DCC Reece Weaver’s Next Move After Retirement Revealed

    Reece Weaver‘s Dallas Cowboy’s fam is ready to paint the town. 

    Because in a wild coincidence that admittedly left the retired Dallas Cowboys cheerleader a bit thunderstruck, just six days after she made her Broadway debut as Chicago‘s Roxie Hart Sept. 7, quarterback Dak Prescott and his teammates will take to the field at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium to face the New York Giants. 

    “So, I have a lot of Cowboys friends and family that are going to be coming,” the 25-year-old shared in an exclusive interview with E! News. And after seeing ’bout them Cowboys, the squad knows a whoopee spot where the gin is cold, but the piano’s hot.

    “I think a lot of the players’ wives and girlfriends and some coaches, staff—we’ve got a good crew coming,” Weaver detailed. “They’re going to watch the Cowboys and then come watch the show.”

    In fact, the Florida native expects to be giving many of her fellow cheerleaders the old razzle dazzle during her six-week run.

    “This is the truest statement any one of us can say: Our sisterhood and bond is so, so close,” noted Weaver, “and I know a lot of my teammates are going to come see the show.” 

    On top of wanting to support her, “We’re all dancers,” she added. “And Chicago, I mean, the soundtrack and the score is so iconic. We danced to at least one of the songs growing up. We’ve had a little bit of choreography to ‘Cell Block Tango,’ ‘Roxie’ or ‘Hot Honey Rag,’ and so all of my friends are so excited.”

    As for the University of Alabama alum, she knew she had one important opening night moment coming. 

    Growing up, she would always ask parents Susan and Larry where their seat was “so I could look for them,” shared Weaver, a tradition she continued at AT&T Stadium.

    So knowing they’ll be attending alongside her husband Will Allman, “I’m most excited for finding them,” she shared, “and not necessarily having an interaction because I don’t want to break. But, honestly, just knowing that they know that this has been a dream of mine forever, just to have that moment of, ‘Oh my gosh, we did it!'”

    And when it comes to achieving her Broadway ambitions, Weaver really only has herself to blame thank. 

    “It was pure manifestation,” she revealed of booking the gig less than two months after telling E! News that appearing in the “classic and so, so iconic” long-running show has always been at the top of her wish list. 

    Between the quiet life she’s building in Alabama, where she and her husband of two years recently purchased a house and her big ambitions, “I feel like my life is a little bit like Hannah Montana, where it’s best of both worlds,” shared Weaver. “But you really don’t know what’s coming next. And I was just in a point where, well, I know I’m hanging up my uniform and stepping into this new chapter, but I had no idea what the future held.”

    And, admittedly, she still hasn’t memorized her next bit of choreography. 

    “I think I’m gonna rot on the couch for about a month or two and really figure out what life looks like,” Weaver said of her post-show plans. “Enjoy our new home, enjoy the holidays, and enjoy a Thanksgiving because we actually haven’t been able to have a normal Thanksgiving in a few years. So, I’m just gonna have a little bit of normalcy.”

    After that, she continued, she’ll turn her attention to her May 2027 release, This Is Where You Bloom, “and then I think we’re gonna normalize not knowing what’s next,” she added. “We’re just going to go along on a ride and see where life takes us.” 

    First, though, she’s gonna rouge her knees and roll her stockings down like so many other Broadway performers who came before her. See the other stars who have enjoyed their curtain calls.
