The atmosphere will be rocking on Monday at 7:30 p.m. ET inside Doak Campbell Stadium when the Florida State Seminoles battle the SMU Mustangs in the ACC opener for both programs. They will also be hosting a plethora of visitors.
It won’t only be prospects they’re trying to get committed. They’ll also have players that have already pledged in Tallahassee. One of them will be three-star edge Jaxon Holly, who committed to FSU in June.

He was on campus in Week 0 for the program’s first win of the season against the New Mexico State Aggies, and he’s more than eager to visit again.
“Excited to be back and hopefully see a win,” Holly said per Noles247.
Holly is one of three edge commits for Florida State in the 2027 cycle along with Anthony Cavallaro and Meshi Dobson, who are both three-star recruits as well. Edge coach Nick Williams has done a good job building the room since being added to the staff, and while he looks for more talent, the Seminoles need to make sure they keep the players they have.
That will require FSU to have a successful season in 2026. They don’t have to be a national championship contender or anything, but they certainly need to make it back to a bowl game and also win a few games against their top rivals like the Miami Hurricanes and Florida Gators to retain recruits like Holly.

247Sports has him listed as the nation’s No. 652 overall player and the No. 55 edge. Holly is also the No. 78 prospect in the state of Georgia.
