Felipe Chávez joined Cologne on loan from Bayern Munich in February but has barely featured for the Billy Goats, playing just 108 minutes across nine Bundesliga games from a possible 20 matches.
According to a report from Sky Germany, Cologne will not exercise their purchase option on Chávez, who will return to Germany’s record champions.

The Peruvian attacking midfielder, who was named in Vincent Kompany’s matchday squad for the first time in December 2025, signed a long-term contract last summer. Awarded his debut on Matchday 16 against Wolfsburg, Chávez followed that up with another substitute appearance against Augsburg before joining Cologne on loan for the remainder of the season.
“Pippo is a young player who’s already being looked at by many top clubs, and we at Bayern have a clear plan to develop him,” said Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund upon Chávez’s departure.
“Felipe is a really good player with an excellent left foot and lots of potential for the future.”
