Watch: Charli D’Amelio Says Her Mental Health “Keeps Declining” Amid Alleged Family Rift
Charli D’Amelio is dancing her way through those family rumors.
Months after pop culture gossip account Deuxmoi alleged that her parents Marc D’Amelio and Heidi D’Amelio had secretly taken millions from her, citing multiple unnamed sources, the TikTok star weighed in on the rumors.
“No, they’re not true,” Charli told The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published Oct. 21. “I wouldn’t say that they stole my money.”
Still, the outlet noted that the 22-year-old took a hefty pause, then added, “I think we did a lot of things as a family.”
Indeed, after Charli, her parents and older sister Dixie D’Amelio, 25, moved to Los Angeles in 2020, the family signed with talent agency UTA as a unit. However, Charli began officially separating from the family brands in March 2025 and has since fully split professionally from them.
The Dancing With the Stars winner has also unfollowed her parents on social media.
Charli also alluded to the financial squabble last month when detailing how much money she made on old merch items.
“Mmm, ain’t that the question,” she said on the Feeding Starving Celebrities YouTube series, while looking directly at the camera. “Wouldn’t I like to know.”
Following Deuxmoi’s May report that her parents had transferred funds meant for her savings into separate accounts, Marc clapped back at the allegations.

“This is not true,” he wrote in the comments section. “We love Charli but she is being manipulated and I have the receipts. Over the last six years we have remained silent and never addressed gossip but the time has come to set the record straight.”
That same month, Marc said during a TikTok Live, per The Hollywood Reporter, that he now only communicates with Charli “through her lawyer.”
Nowadays, Charli has placed herself in charge of her own finances, even parting ways with her manager, telling THR, “I like it. I’m in charge. Now I say what I’m doing and not doing.”
Reflecting on her child stardom, she said she learned “the hard way” that “people have bad intentions, too.”
As she put it, “You can’t be a trusting person.”
Despite the apparent rift between her and her family, Charli emphasized that she is “always grateful” for having her family be part of her journey.
“I know I’m very lucky,” she continued. “I don’t know what doing this without them would have looked like; I don’t know if I would have had this life.”
As for her relationship with Dixie, Charli added, “I mean, that’s my sister. I’m going to love her till the day I die. But there are times where you’re figuring stuff out.”
