Watch: Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber’s Daughter Kai Makes Her Runway Debut at 16
In Naomi Watts‘ family, sometimes it’s her daughter who knows best.
TheMulholland Drive actress revealed that her and ex Liev Schreiber‘s 17-year-old daughter Kai Schreiber has often given her “solicited or unsolicited” fashion advice.
“She’s really got a keen eye for style and the confidence to pull it off as well,” Watts exclusively told E! News during a recent launch party for her Stripes Beauty brand’s new Rite of Passion arousal gummies. “She often weighs in, literally asking if I have a second option. She’ll give her opinion and detailed notes.”
Of course, the teen doesn’t just talk the talk. She has literally walked the walk, making her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week in March 2025.
“She’s very cool,” Watts, 58, added, “much cooler than I was at that age.”
However, the actresshas proven she can pick some of her own iconic looks, with Kai giving her seal of approval on the sheer black lace dress she wore at the New York City event.
“This dress, she was very much in favor of right away,” the actress beamed. “She wants to own this dress afterward.”
While Kai had some words of wisdom about fashion for her mom, Watts—who also shares son Sasha Schreiber, 19, with Schreiber—also revealed the advice she’s given her daughter.
“Know why you’re there,” she recalled telling Kai ahead of her modeling debut. “You better love it because being self-employed is not the easiest thing. There’s no guarantee. We all have a pretty good work ethic in my family. So, I trust it’s going to go well.”
Indeed, Watts—who tied the knot with Billy Crudup in 2023—knows Kai is thriving in the industry. In fact, they even worked together on Simkhai’s fall 2026 campaign.
“She’s very professional,” Watts said of the mother-daughter campaign. “She loves what she does and is obsessed with fashion. It was really lovely. Any time I get to spend with my teenage kids is a win.”

As Kai continues to focus on modeling, the King Kong actress shared insight into her own career, including expanding her wellness brand’s product lines.
Stripes Beauty—which focuses on products for those navigating perimenopause and menopause—has launched the Rite of Passion gummy to support sexual wellness.
“That’s one of the things that happens that is very real for women,” Watts reflected. “Sex can become complicated. You have to put a little more organization and thinking into it, and obviously communication. It can be something there’s still a lot of shame around.”
“Even for me, when I was creating this company, I was nervous about getting too much into the intimate parts of the things because it is embarrassing,” she explained, noting that it was life-changing to own that anxiety and “say, ‘I don’t want to suffer. I want help.'”

So, Stripes Beauty began working on their arousal gummy after receiving demand from their customers.
“We listened to the ladies out there,” she told E!. “They were suffering through this and talking about how it breaks down your confidence. It breaks down relationships, it breaks down sleep, and creates anxiety and all of those things. It was important to us.”
Because at the heart of her mission is normalizing some of the tough realities of aging.
“Part of the whole messaging behind Stripes Beauty is to embrace where you’re at, and I try to do that,” she added. “It’s not always a bed of roses, but I do my best.”
However, she also asserted, “No judgment on anyone who wants to do whatever they want.”
