Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has opened up on his terse conversation with Max Dowman, after he was sent off against Fleetwood Town.
Dowman was shown a straight red card after he kicked out following a bad tackle in the 85th minute.
As Dowman walked back into the dressing room, Arteta could be seen talking to the 16-year-old.
When asked after the game what he said to Dowman, Arteta told reporters: “It was something that we discussed before the game.”
The Gunners boss, however, refused to reveal more details when pressed.
The Premier League champions were eventually dumped out of the competition 5-3 on penalties, after the tie ended 1-1 in 90 minutes.
