Get out your tin foil hats again, folks, because it’s conspiracy theory time!
During the most recent episode of “The Katie Miller Podcast,” two-time major winner Bryson DeChambeau shared that he does not think the original moon landing footage is real.

“Artemis just went around the moon. So I do believe if we spent a lot of our resources like they say we did, I think we did (go to the moon),” DeChambeau said. “I don’t think the footage is real. But I think we did go to the moon. I don’t know about the footage.”
DeChambeau was originally asked whether or not he believed astronaut Alan Shepard really played golf on the moon. DeChambeau then began his questioning of the authenticity of the Apollo 11 moon landing footage.
DeChambeau was (seemingly) referring to the Apollo 11 space mission, the American mission that saw the first men walk on the moon.

Conspiracy theorists have long claimed that the footage doesn’t add up, often pointing to things like the absence of stars in the background and inconsistencies in shadows and topography as reasons to be skeptical of the footage’s authenticity.

DeChambeau is no stranger to controversy. On the very podcast where he questioned the moon landing, he was also asked about divisive topics like gender roles and his relationship with President Donald Trump. He did not shy away from answering those questions.
From calling Augusta National a “Par 67” to feuding with future LIV teammate Brooks Koepka to calling for forgiveness for Saudi involvement in the 9/11 terrorist attacks amidst his move to LIV Golf, DeChambeau has been in hot water many times before. This almost certainly won’t be the last time, either.

While several topics of discussion on the podcast were controversial, DeChambeau was also asked about his future in golf, and whether or not he would focus more on golf or content creation moving forward.
DeChambeau, whose YouTube channel has nearly 3 million subscribers, admitted that golf and YouTube both make him about the same amount of money currently.
“If you’re up at that level and content creation, they are very, very similar,” he said.
He also admitted that he believes LIV Golf could be coming to an end, and questioned his own future in the sport with the uncertainty of returning to the PGA Tour looming over him.
