Watch: Jeff Probst Fiercely Defends ‘Survivor 50’ From Zac Brown Backlash
Drop your buffs, it’s time to announce a winner.
After the milestone In the Hands of the Fans season was filled with twists and blindsides, host Jeff Probst announced Aubry Bracco as the sole survivor of Survivor 50.
Indeed, she beat out fellow final contestants Jonathan Young and Joe Hunter in a 5-3-0 vote to claim the whopping $2 million prize—double the typical pot thanks to the MrBeast coin toss secured by Rick Devens. So yes Probst, definitely worth playing for.
Tiffany Nicole Ervin and Rizo Velovicwere eliminated prior to the final tribal council and completed the jury, which also consisted of Dee Valladares, Chrissy Hofbeck, Benjamin “Coach” Wade, Christian Hubicki, Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, Emily Flippen, Ozzy Lusth, Devens and Cirie Fields.
This season, to outwit, outplay and outlast the rest it took more than just digging deep. The 50th season saw a shocking twist from Jimmy Fallon—which sent Hubicki home—and a head-scratching idol from Billie Eilish, aptly named the Billie Eilish Boomerang Idol, which fans never actually got to see executed.
“We sent her a couple of ideas, and she decided which one she liked,” Probst previously told People of the advantage. “She said, ‘I like the Boomerang.’ Then, we kind of wrote out the clue, and she approved that as well.”

Then there was Zac Brown’s lengthy cameo. Which, despite criticism from fans, Probst completely stands by.
“It’s fascinating to me that a couple of people, most of them either former players or people who will never play, criticize the show, and it gets momentum,” Probst recently told Variety. “I tell anyone who wants to listen: If that’s your goal, to somehow impact our point of view, it will fail. We trust what we’re doing.”
And trust there are more plenty of Survivor secrets that will completely blindside fans. Grab your torch and read on for all the behind-the-scenes tea…
