Watch: Brandi Glanville Reveals She Is Having Her “Face Taken Off” for “Power-Wash” Amid Parasite Struggle
Brandi Glanville is still getting to the bottom of her facial disfigurement.
And this time, she’s taking a quite literal approach. Following a years-long battle with a mystery ailment affecting her physical appearance, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum revealed she is undergoing surgery that will hopefully help diagnose her ongoing health issues.
“Dr. Carlo Henrado is taking my face off on Friday,” Brandi told fans during the Oct. 22 episode of her Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast, “and going to do an exploratory surgery to kind of do a power wash under my skin.”
The physician already has his suspicions as the 53-year-old explained that he pointed to two spots beneath her skin that could be “fungal balls or something alive.”
“I think it’s alive, personally,” Brandi—who has long suspected a parasite is to blame for her health problems—agreed, “because it moves when it wants.”
What she wants, however, is to be rid of this issue for good, even paying $5,000 out of her own pocket to cover what insurance won’t.
“But I’m OK with that,” the reality star—mom to sons Mason, 23, and Jake, 19, with ex Eddie Cibrian—added. “He’s like, ‘If I can cut the head off the beast, the snake, then the other stuff we’ll be able to get.'”
Having never had facial surgery before, Brandi is a combination of “super excited” and “scared” as she prepares to go under the knife.
“He’s, like, literally going in there with a power washer, basically, and knives and all this s–t,” she explained. “And then he’s spinning my blood and doing this platelet thing on the inside of my face.”
Ultimately, she hopes she can move past this nightmare once and for all.

Last month, Brandi confirmed her plans to have surgery after getting fed up with cumbersome treatments, including a daily 18-hour IV regimen.
“I can’t eat because the things I do decreases my food,” she shared in a Sept. 6 Instagram video. “I feel like death. I look like death.”
And the health crisis was taking a toll on more than just her physical features.
“Even with insurance, this is costing me $3,300–$6K a month and I’m barely able to work. I honestly don’t know how I’m going to do this mentally or financially,” she wrote on X last month. “I know I don’t look good. I don’t care, I feel terrible. This is my reality.”
