Carson Hocevar may have just created his biggest NASCAR rivalry yet.
The opening race of the 2026 Chase produced plenty of drama at Darlington Raceway, but one incident between Carson Hocevar and Brad Keselowski has quickly become one of the biggest talking points coming out of the Southern 500.

On Lap 107, Hocevar made contact with Keselowski’s No. 6 Ford, sending the veteran driver sideways. Hocevar then made additional contact with Keselowski, ultimately spinning him out and bringing out the caution.
And Keselowski wasn’t happy about it.
After the incident, Keselowski made it clear that he hadn’t forgotten what happened.
The RFK Racing co-owner and driver issued a blunt warning toward Hocevar, essentially telling the young Chase contender that he should be prepared for what comes next.
Keselowski’s frustration was obvious, and his comments immediately added another layer to an already heated situation.

The veteran has spent years racing at the highest level of NASCAR, while Hocevar is still establishing himself as one of the sport’s rising stars.
