Kentucky football kicked off the Will Stein era on Saturday, running past Youngstown State in a 45-13 victory in their season opener.
While the win gave Kentucky fans across the Big Blue state all of the confidence they could imagine, the first real test of the season comes this weekend when the Wildcats host No. 13 Alabama.

A few months ago, this game was likely circled as a prayer/given loss. However, this is not the Alabama of old.
Nick Saban is not walking through that door, and Kentucky’s offensive line could very well end up having the edge against Alabama’s defensive line.
Despite the optimism surrounding the Kentucky program, ESPN’s Football Power Index gives the Wildcats just over a 15% chance to win, with DraftKings Sportsbook having Kentucky as 10.5-point underdogs.
SEC Nation will be in Lexington this weekend for this matchup, further fueling the significance of what can come of Kentucky pulling off an upset.
