Bill Belichick is throwing a flag on this play.
Days after it was confirmed that the University of North Carolina football coach and pro cheerleader Jordon Hudson had broken up last year, he shut down a question regarding the split.
“Do you work for a tabloid now?” Belichick asked a WRAL reporter during a press conference Nov. 2. “I’ll keep my personal comments and relationships to myself if that’s alright with you.”
Belichick’s question turnover comes after multiple outlets confirmed on Oct. 30 that the 74-year-old and 25-year-old had parted ways romantically, although reports noted they still maintain a close working relationship and friendship.
And while Hudson and Belichick have not invited the world into their huddle, the former pageant star has proved their friendship has not suffered any penalties by sticking by the New England Patriots alum. After all, the cheerleader was recently spotted on the sidelines of UNC’s Oct. 24 match-up against Syracuse, supporting Belichick through his team’s 31-30 loss.
Hudson and Belichick have even remained teammates away from the field. In May, Hudson shared a glimpse into the duo’s day at the Kentucky Derby, showing a photo of them walking hand-in-hand through Churchill Downs racetrack while sporting coordinated pink and blue attire.
Although recent reports have confirmed the former couple had already split up at that point, Hudson cheekily nodded to the backlash the couple had faced throughout their age gap relationship, captioning it, “Not the first time we’ve trudged through the mud together.”
A few days earlier, Hudson also shared a glimpse into Belichick supporting her at the Cheerleading Worlds competition in Orlando, Fla., writing in an April 26 Instagram post, “Roses up for Bill the WAG.”

Belichick and Hudson’s romance began in 2023, shortly after the NFL alum’s split from ex Linda Holliday. The duo went public with their romance in 2024, prompting many critical responses to their nearly 50-year age gap.
However, Hudson maintained a strong D-line when it came to defending the duo’s former romance.
“Nothing changed for us in 2024 except for ‘public knowledge’; yet, somehow everything changed,” Hudson wrote in a 2025 Instagram Story, which she later reshared earlier this year. “Fourth calendar year; Going strong. I can’t wait to take punches for you in 2025.”
Hudson added in her post at the time, “Keep swinging, Keyboard Warriors. Your illusion of righteousness only fuels my authenticity.”
