Alabama athletics is monitoring potential inclement weather set to hit Tuscaloosa Saturday, Oct. 10 during the Alabama vs. Georgia football game.
In a statement released by the athletic department Tuesday, Oct. 6, the university is “closely monitoring the weather forecast,” one that could include rain from Tropical Storm Isaias.
“Alabama athletics is closely monitoring the weather forecast ahead of Saturday’s football game vs. Georgia,” the statement reads. “At this time, there are no plans to alter the contest. We will continue to observe conditions throughout the week and remain in communication with the Southeastern Conference office, as needed. Fans are encouraged to rely on official Alabama athletics and SEC channels for the latest information regarding Saturday’s game.”

Tropical Storm Isaias is expected to target the southeast, which is expected to bring downpours of rain from Louisiana to Florida. The National Weather Service is predicting a 50% chance of showers with highs reaching 82 degrees during the day Saturday, Oct. 10 with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday night. Rain is also expected to continue into Sunday.
Alabama is scheduled to play Georgia at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium on ABC.
