Quarterback Marcus Washington has announced his commitment to Kentucky, according to reports.
The 6-foot, 165-pound three-star quarterback is the first commit of Will Stein‘s 2029 recruiting class. Washington has an 88 overall grade, according to 247Sports. He does not have a composite rating as the class has not yet been nationally ranked.
The Cajon High School product out of San Bernardino, Calif., picked the Wildcats over other offers from Michigan, Arizona State, Vanderbilt, North Carolina, Texas A&M, Utah, among others.

Washington, a sophomore, is described as a dual-threat quarterback.
Last football season, Washington threw for 2,235 yards with 22 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He also recorded 91 carries for 681 yards and nine touchdowns. Through four games this season, he has thrown for over 1,300 yards and eight touchdowns while scoring five more touchdowns with his legs.
Washington ran track at his high school, as well, posting an 11.17 in the 100-meter dash as a freshman.
