Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho, has insisted he is “very happy” that Harry Kane won the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Kane took the award home ahead of Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe, who finished in second place.
Ahead of their LaLiga game against Racing Santander this weekend, Mourinho was asked about the results of the Ballon d’Or voting.
“I have to be honest, I am very happy for Harry Kane,” Mourinho said.
“He deserves the Ballon d’Or, he is a great player.”
It was a narrow win for Kane, as he polled a total of 1,055 points, while Mbappe got 1,027.
