Vice President Kashim Shettima has launched a scathing attack on the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter, saying his time as governor and as a bank chairman was mediocre.
Shettima made this statement on Saturday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, during the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign rally.
According to him, Obi was the governor of Anambra State for 8 years and did not do anything special.
“Peter Obi was governor of Anambra State for 8 years; his performance was mediocre. He was also a chairman of a bank in Nigeria, and his performance there was equally mediocre,” Shettima said.
Shettima said Obi likes to present himself as a good manager, but his record does not show it, stating that Anambra did not change under Obi.
He said the state remained the same after 8 years, adding that the same thing happened at the bank where Obi was chairman.
“It was after his exit that the bank started working stronger,” Shettima added.
He said Nigerians should not be deceived by sweet talk and that they should check the record of every candidate before they vote.
