Watch: Lauren Sánchez Bezos Brings Bombshell Energy to Met Gala 2026 in Curve-Hugging Gown
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos look ama—zing.
The Amazon founder and the former journalist, who tied the knot last July, stepped out at the Met Gala 2026 in quite eye-catching looks.
But while Lauren hit the carpet in a Schiaparelli by Daniel Roseberry gown, her husband opted not to pose for photos on the red carpet.
Instead, Jeff was spotted inside the bash alongside Lauren’s sister Elena Sanchez Blair. Wearing a classic tux, he held onto a glass of champagne while snapping a photo alongside Elena, who was dressed in a peach-colored gown. (See every star on the Met Steps here.)
Lauren announced back in March that the couple—who previously attended the gala together in 2024—would be attending the party as honorary co-chairs, alongside hostess Anna Wintour and co-chairs Nicole Kidman,Beyoncé and Venus Williams.
“It has been such a fun and meaningful experience,” Lauren mused during an appearance on Today at the time. “When Anna called me and said, ‘Do you want to co-chair and also be the sponsors of the Met?’ I was so honored.”
And luckily, that gaveThe Fly Who Flew Under the Sea author some expert insight into the “Costume Art” theme and the “Fashion is Art” dress code.
“She told me the theme—fashion is art,” the 56-year-old continued. “These designers are true artists. Elsa Schiaparelli was best friends with Salvador Dalí, and his medium was a canvas, and hers was clothing.”

“Lauren is a force,” the former Vogue editor-in-chief told the New York Times in an interview published last month. “The Costume Institute’s exhibition this year is an enormous, complicated project in a new gallery at the heart of the museum, and I thought the gala needed that energy.”
