In his previous start, Cam Schlittler rebounded from a 4.1-inning effort against the Dodgers and blanked the Phillies over 7.1 innings at Citizens Bank Park.
That performance kicked off this current Yankees‘ road trip, where they’ve won four of five games entering Wednesday night at Chicago‘s Rate Field.

Schlittler (10-6, 2.07) will oppose fellow right-hander Davis Martin (9-5, 3.49) in the third game of a four-game set against the White Sox.
On June 16 at Yankee Stadium, Martin lasted just 3.1 innings and gave up nine runs on eight hits – including home runs by Spencer Jones, Ben Rice and Paul Goldschmidt – in a 12-2 Yanks win.
All three hitters are in the Yankees’ Wednesday night lineup.
Martin carried a 2.41 ERA into that game. In his six starts since, Martin has not yielded a home run and has posted a 3.99 ERA.
A leading candidate for the AL Cy Young award, Schlittler has posted a 1.08 ERA in 13 road starts this season.
