After an eventful night one, WWE WrestleMania 42 looks to finish strong on night two with a main event that everyone is talking about.
Night One of WrestleMania 42 witnessed three title changes and the shocking return of Paige, who replaced the injured Nikki Bella to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles with Brie Bella. But perhaps the most surprising moment of the evening saw Cody Rhodes defeat Randy Orton to retain the WWE Championship. What does that mean for WrestleMania Sunday?
In the Night Two main event, CM Punk will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns. Despite competing against each other in a triple threat match last year, this singles match has been over a decade in the making, and it doesn’t seem that either man’s ego can sustain a loss on the grandest stage of them all. Who leaves Las Vegas tonight with the gold? Tune in to find out.
The WWE Women’s Championship will also be on the line tonight as Jade Cargill puts the title on the line against Rhea Ripley. While Ripley will have her best friend, IYO SKY, in her corner, Cargill will have her new associates in B-Fab and Michin. Will the numbers game be the deciding factor in who leaves Las Vegas with the title?
Over on the Raw side of things, AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio will be in action against the man he kicked out of The Judgment Day, Finn Balor. But this isn’t your typical Prince, as The Demon will return to action at the Showcase of the Immortals for the first time in three years. Has Dirty Dom finally bitten off more than he can chew? We’ll find out soon enough.
Night two will kick off with one of the most anticipated matches in recent WrestleMania history as former NXT Champion Oba Femi goes one-on-one with Brock Lesnar. The Ruler has been on a tear since coming to the main roster, but the Beast Incarnate stands in his way. When these two men meet in the ring later tonight, there will be no one seated inside Allegiant Stadium. Can Oba topple Brock? Only time will tell.
Also scheduled for night two, a huge six-man ladder match as Penta puts the Intercontinental Championship on the line against Rey Mysterio, Je’Von Evans, Rusev, JD McDonagh, and Dragon Lee. To round out the card, Sami Zayn defends the United States Championship against Trick Williams.

WWE WrestleMania 42 results:
Night Two of WWE WrestleMania 42 kicks of with Joe Jonas performing the National Anthem.
The Host of WrestleMania, John Cena, makes his way to the ring to address the WWE Universe. Cena calls Night One incredible and says the stage is set for a historic Night Two.
Cena reminds us that they are live on ESPN, and the crowd boos. Cena, once again, welcomes us to the event as they set off some pyro before the opening contest.
Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar (w/ Paul Heyman). The match surprisingly begins with a collar-and-elbow tie-up. It was a stalemate. Brock Lesnar attempts his typical offense, but Oba Femi withstands it all and drops Lesnar. The Beast leaves the ring and chucks the steel steps in frustration.
Femi tries to bring Lesnar back into the ring but Lesnar drags him out to ringside and does some damage out there before returning to the ring and starts his suplex barrage on The Ruler as the crowd boos loudly.
The closing moments of the match see Lesnar hit Femi with the F5. Lesnar poses for the crowd as Femi gets to his feet and nails Lesnar with a chokeslam, followed by the Fall From Grace to score the pinfall victory.
After the match, Brock Lesnar takes off his gloves and boots and leaves them in the ring effectively retiring from WWE. The crowd chants, “Thank you, Brock!” as Paul Heyman looks on in shock. Heyman and Lesnar hug.
Lesnar and Heyman leave together as The Beast Incarnate has essentially babyfaced himself in the eyes of the WWE Universe.
Penta defeated Je’Von Evans, Rey Mysterio, Rusev, JD McDonagh, and Dragon Lee in a Ladder Match to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Penta, Mysterio, and Lee form an early alliance and take out Evans, Rusev, and McDonagh. But the alliance didn’t last long, nor should it; it’s every man for themselves.
McDonagh takes a NASTY back body drop on a ladder by Rusev. Surprisingly, McDonagh was back in the contest minutes later, trying to climb the ladder to retrieve the title, but it stopped by Je’Von Evans. Mysterio uses a ladder to hit Lee with a crazy looking 619. Lee attempts to grab the title, but Rusev stops him. Penta launches Mysterio out of the ring with a West Coast Pop onto Rusev as they break through a ladder at ringside.
The closing moments of the match see Penta and McDonagh battling out on top of the ladder. Penta hits McDonagh with a Mexican Destroyer on another positioned ladder. Evans tries to climb up and get the title, but is stopped by Rusev. But when Rusev tries to go for the title, Evans is back to hit him with an OG Cutter off the ladder. Penta gets back in the match, hitting Evans with a Mexican Destroyer, who climbs the ladder and retrieves his title.
Trick Williams (w/ Lil Yachty) defeated Sami Zayn to become the new WWE United States Champion. The live crowd absolutely hates Sami Zayn tonight. This appears to be a completely pro Trick Williams crowd in Las Vegas. The opening portion of the match was pretty even until Zayn attacked Yachty again, giving him a window to take advantage of Williams and turn the match in his favor.
Zayn is looking for a Helluva Kick as the referee is checking on Williams, which allows Yachty to choke Zayn, putting Williams back in control.
The finish of the match sees Trick Williams hit Sami Zayn with the Trick Shot to score the pinfall victory.
Street Fight: “The Demon” Finn Balor defeated Dominik Mysterio. Both Mysterio and Balor got very cool entrances for their Street Fight, definitely giving this match a WrestleMania feel. Dirty Dom plays up being afraid of The Demon early on as Balor is in complete control of the match so far. Dominik gains control of the match while Balor is distracted, pulling out a table.
From that point, the match is pretty back and forth. Dirty Dom connects with the Frog Splash at one point, but The Demon kicks out at one. Balor tries to get back in the match, but Mysterio keeps cutting him off. Dirty Dom puts Balor through a table and uses a steel chair to assist him with a 619, and even after all that, Balor still kicks out.
The closing moments of the match saw The Demon regain control, beating Mysterio senseless with a steel chair before placing him on a table and hitting him with Coup de Grâce to score the pinfall victory.
Rhea Ripley defeated Jade Cargill to become the new WWE Women’s Champion. It’s all Cargill early on in terms of offense. Ripley can’t seem to get out of the gate as the champion is in firm control. Ripley eventually gets on offense with a well-placed spin kick from the mat. This evened out the match, and the two women started going back and forth at this point.
Cargill goes for Jaded, but Ripley rolls through it for a two count. Now with Ripley in control, Michin and B-Fab come to ringside and distract the referee, turning things into a three-on-one match. This is almost identical to what they did last night with Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquer, and the live crowd doesn’t sound overly thrilled. Finally, IYO SKY makes her way out to even the odds, taking out both Michin and B-Fab.
The closing moments of the match sees Ripley try to hit Riptide but Cargill reverses it and tries to hit Jaded, only for Ripley to reverse that and finally hit the Riptide to score the pinfall victory.
John Cena returns to the ring and puts over the match between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar. Cena announces tonight’s attendance: 55,255
Cena tries to conclude his moment as a host, but he’s interrupted by The Miz and Kit Wilson. Miz is angry that he didn’t get a WrestleMania moment last year, and he wants his moment tonight. Danhausen comes out in a vehicle accompanied by a ton of mini Danhausens.
Danhausen says he’s finally made it to WrestleManiahausen. Danhausen says he has something to say to John Cena. They shake hands as Danhausen puts Cena over and says he’s a big fan. Miz is furious and says that if he wanted to see The Wizard of Oz, he would have gone down the street.
Kit Wilson knocks over one of the mini Danhausens, and they punch him in the groin and take him out. Danhausen follows it up by hitting Miz in the groin and hitting him with the Five Knuckle Shufflehausen. Cena and Danhausen go face-to-face as a puff of smoke comes up over Danhausen, who doesn’t disappear; he runs away and hides under the apron. Cena says he loves retired life.
Roman Reigns defeated CM Punk to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Reigns and Punk each get special entrances. Punk’s even featured his Ring of Honor theme Miseria Cantare by AFI, before shifting over to Cult of Personality. Punk and Reigns go back and forth early in the matchup. Neither man has the definitive advantage. The match heads outside of the ring and into the crowd, and that’s where Punk takes over.
But Punk gloating to the crowd allowed Reigns to regain control and take the match back into the ring. With Tribal Chief firmly in control, the match shifts to a slow, methodical pace. Reigns eventually misses a Superman Punch, giving Punk the opening he needed to take over. The crowd sounds way more behind Reigns than they do Punk.
However, the match would reach a turning point when Punk was caught upside down in a tree of woe outside of the ring, which allowed Reigns to hit him with multiple Superman Punches, busting Punk open. Reigns would then use the steel steps and smash Punk in the face with them right in front of the referee, yet he wasn’t disqualified. What is this!? Roman follows it up by powerbombing Punk through the commentator’s table.
Late in the match, we see both Punk and Reigns hit each other with their finishes, and each man kicks out at two.
Late in the match, Punk hit Reigns with a Superman Punch; he tries to follow it up with a spear, but Reigns reverses into a choke, Punk reverses that into a pin, and Reigns kicks out at two. Reigns and Punk resort to brawling with each other on their knees while they slowly get to their feet. Punk hits Reigns with a low blow behind the referee’s back and follows it up with a GTS, but Roman still kicks out at two.
The closing moments of the match sees Punk put Reigns on the announce table before climbing to the top rope and hitting him with an elbow drop through the table. Punk brings Reigns back in the ring and hits him with a GTS, but couldn’t hit a second one collapsing under the weight of Reigns. Roman nails Punk with a spear, but couldn’t make the cover. He follows it up with a second spear to score the pinfall victory.
Roman Reigns celebrates with the World Championship, and fireworks go off. Reigns goes to hug his family at ringside as WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two goes off the air.
