Watch: Will Taylor Frankie Paul’s ‘Bachelorette’ Season Ever Air? Disney Exec Says…
Taylor Frankie Paul‘s roses are still up in the air.
One month after the reality star’s already-filmed season of The Bachelorette was canceled three days before its premiere, Disney executive Rob Millsshared insight into whether the 22nd installment will ultimately make it to air.
“We take everything a day at a time,” the executive vice president of unscripted and alternative entertainment at ABC’s parent company told TheWrap in an interview published April 22. “We’re sort of really still processing everything and figuring out … planning for the next cycles of The Bachelor franchise, and really just kind of looking at everything.”
Although the network is focusing on The Bachelorette’s counterpart series, Mills also emphasized that they are prioritizing Paul’s well-being. After all, her season was canceled not long after a video of an altercation in 2023 with then-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen surfaced.
“First and foremost, honestly,” the exec explained, the network is “just making sure that Taylor, her family, everyone is being taken care of, just on a personal and human front.”
As for whether any of the contestants on Paul’s season will be passing out their own roses in season 30 of The Bachelor?
“We’re open to anything,” Mills told the outlet. “I think you saw with Golden Bachelor, this is a phenomenal format that you can tell all different types of stories.”
Simply put, “The most important thing is just telling somebody’s story who has a great journey ahead of them.”
The decision to scrap Paul’s season of The Bachelorette was made following the release of the video—in which Paul is seen throwing bar stools at Mortensen during an argument before accidentally hitting her and ex-husband Tate Paul‘s then-5-year-old daughter—a spokesperson for Disney Entertainment told E! News.

“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today,” the statement said, “we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of The Bachelorette at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”
Along with its cancellation, production on season five of The Secret Livesof Mormon Wives—which airs on Disney subsidiary Hulu—had also paused following an alleged altercation between Paul and Mortensen in February, a source with knowledge told E! News. However, E! learned April 22 that production on the new season will resume soon.
And there may be a chance that Paul will be making her return to the series at some point.
“Taylor’s priority is her mental health and her family right now,” a source close to the 31-year-old told E! News April 22, noting that “everyone at Hulu has been helpful and supportive.”
“She wants to come back to the show in the future,” the insider shared, “but right now the focus is her family life and her wellbeing. When she’s ready, the door is absolutely open.”
