Wilfried Nancy recently revealed a desire to manage in Ligue 1 and he may yet be given the chance this summer, with two clubs now interested in his services.
“It’s true that, in the past three years, there’s been no reason to complain because French clubs wanted to work with me. It is a question of timing, and the timing wasn’t right at the time. Now, I want to come to Ligue 1, if there is an opportunity. I am not the one who decides, but I am ready,” Nancy told RMC Sport last month.

There has already been interest from FC Lorient, as per a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter. Les Merlus, who failed to agree a contract extension with Olivier Pantaloni, had set their sights on Will Still, but were pipped to the post by AJ Auxerre.
They now face competition for one of their other targets, Nancy. As per L’Équipe, the former Celtic boss is a target for OGC Nice, who are set to welcome new owners.
Alexandre Dujeux, now a free agent since his exit from SCO Angers, is also heavily linked with the job at Nice. However, Le Gym may face competition from RC Lens and Lorient.
