Watch: Love Island USA’s Huda Mustafa, Louis Russell Break Up After Nearly 9 Months After Dating
A hot, new season of Love Island USA is about to enter the villa.
The hit reality series is returning to Peacock for its eighth season June 2—just one day after the OG version, Love Island UK, drops. And if you’re wondering which Islanders will be pulling each other for a chat, the streaming service has already introduced the 12 cast members heading to Fiji.
Even though Ariana Madix has been hosting Love Island USA since 2024, she admits she’s still often stunned which pairs decide to explore a connection.
“I’m always surprised by who ends up coupling up,” the Vanderpump Rules alum recently told Peacock Blog. “Sometimes I think you can feel an energy between people that maybe you don’t even see on camera but when you’re there in person you can always kinda feel like, ‘Oooh, there’s some chemistry here.'”
Chemistry is what Amaya Espinal (a.k.a. Amaya Papaya) and Bryan Arenales seemed to have when they were declared the winners on the season seven finale in July 2025. But the following month, the two confirmed their breakup. Still, the announcement wasn’t exactly a bombshell revelation. There seemed to be trouble in paradise—with Bryan denying at the reunion that he cheated on Amaya but admitting he had a “lapse in judgment” when he’d given out shots at a club. Months later though, Amaya is toasting to a new romance, revealing earlier this year that she has a boyfriend.
Meanwhile, runners-up Nic Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen—a.k.a. Nicolandria—continued to grow their bond after the show.
“We’ve definitely been making progress with our connection and things like that,” she told E! News in November. “So, I think we’re doing pretty good.”
A key part of that, shared Nic, is their decision to keep their relationship more private, something he recommends for any future Love Island couples.
“If I were to give any advice about sharing your relationship, you don’t have do it after Love Island,” he told E! News’ Erin Lim Rhodes in April. “They make you think that you do, but you don’t.”
As fans wait to see how things heat up this season, keep reading to see which Love Island alums are still together.
