After a pair of home losses to open the season, the San Antonio Spurs have found their groove as the Minnesota Timberwolves come to town.

Victor Wembanyama is back to his usual superhuman form, posting double-doubles on back-to-back nights earlier this week to help the Spurs extend their winning streak to three games. He has averaged 29.3 points and 10.3 rebounds in that span while shooting 57.8 percent from the field, a marked improvement from his showing in those two early defeats.
The vibe around the Timberwolves is headed in the opposite direction. On the heels of consecutive losses to the Cavs and Warriors, Anthony Edwards had arthroscopic surgery on his knee Thursday and is expected to miss about two months. Jonathan Kuminga became the focal point of the offense in the first game without Edwards, but he’ll need plenty of help as Minnesota tries to bridge that gap.
