Where is 'College GameDay?' ESPN sets up shop at Texas football vs Tennessee in Knoxville

As conference play begins for some SEC teams and continues for others, much attention will be paid to Texas football vs. Tennessee.

Here’s what to know about “College GameDay” in Knoxville:

This week’s show will broadcast from Ayres Hall then from inside Neyland Stadium. It’s the 13h time the program has come to Rocky Top.

GameDay begins at 8 a.m. CT until 11 a.m., when the bulk of the college action gets started. You can watch on assorted ESPN channels and platforms, including ESPN, ESPNU and Disney+.

Now in its 40th season, “College GameDay” is a traveling, weekly college football pregame show. The crew  has been to dozens of campuses across country. Analysts make picks for and break down the biggest NCAA games of the week. A guest joins the team – often a famous athlete or other alumni from the host school – to make picks as well.

GameDay has featured a slew of familiar faces like former Indiana coach Lee Corso, who retired last year after more than 30 years with the program; former Alabama coach Nick Saban; former Heisman winner Desmond Howard; former Ohio State quarterback Kirk Herbstreit; former West Virginia punter Pat McAfee and longtime host Chris Fowler. Now Rece Davis leads the show, with McAfee, Howard and Herbstreit expected to join him this week. 

Philip Clapp, better known as stunt performer Johnny Knoxville, will be the celebrity picker. 

Texas, the No. 1 team in the county per the AP Top 25, and Tennessee, the No. 14 team in the country, will play at 11 a.m. CT Saturday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
