The 2023 NFL Draft is going to go down as one of the best in NFL history, or at least recently. The class gave the NFL some serious offensive talent, headlined by C.J. Stroud and Puka Nacua, as well as stars on defense like Will Anderson Jr. and Jalen Carter.
The Minnesota Vikings enjoyed the class as they were able to land award-winning USC wide receiver Jordan Addison with their first-round pick. However, in a recent exercise by CBS Sports, the Vikings do not land Addison as they redo the entire first round.

Draft analyst Ryan Wilson had the Vikings passing on Jordan Addison for another wide receiver, which led to him falling to pick 31 where the Kansas City Chiefs land him. Wilson explains the pick, writing, “The WR room remains in flux, especially since the Chiefs took Rashee Rice in the actual 2023 draft, which means he’s currently not on the roster (part of me wonders if they would draft him again given the choice). Instead, K.C. takes Addison, who proved in Minnesota that he can be the man when Justin Jefferson missed time with injuries.”
Addison could easily be an All-Pro for the Chiefs if he were with the team. The Super Bowl champions at the time had a need at wide receiver that they would eventually address, but doing it sooner with Addison would have been scary for the entire NFL.
