The Baltimore Ravens will face one of their stiffest tests of the 2026 season on Thursday night. They’re playing host to the heavyweight Jacksonville Jaguars, who certainly have the look of a team that could represent the AFC in Super Bowl 61 this February. Unfortunately for the Ravens, they’ll be fighting an uphill battle with their franchise player out for the matchup.
Two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson will not play against the Jaguars after he hurt his thumb during a loss to the Buffalo Bills last Sunday. In fact, after Jackson underwent surgery for his injured thumb, he’s not going to appear in uniform for 4-4 Ravens for a little while. Oof. Jackson’s iffy injury status is enough to question his Ravens future, but that’s a heavy conversation for another day.
