No. 6 Notre Dame has had a much easier time in the second half at Navy then it did in the first. The first career touchdown reception for Jerome Bettis Jr. is part of the reason why.
Bettis Jr., the son of NFL legend Jerome Bettis, hauled in a 31-yard touchdown pass to put the Fighting Irish up 35-13 over the Midshipmen at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
The touchdown ended a 2-play, 43-yard drive that took just 11 seconds.

Another Notre Dame WR who is the son of an NFL star, Elijah Burress, appeared to have a touchdown on the next drive, but he stepped out of bounds while making the catch.
After only three receivers, all veterans, had all but a few snaps in the loss at No. 9 BYU, Notre Dame coaches have challenged younger receivers to step up, and we’re seeing that a bit in the second half at Navy.
