TOPEKA — There was no one more dominate on the soccer pitch than Dylan Willingham last fall. Willingham was everywhere on the field as he led Washburn Rural to the Class 6A State Championship.
After winning the ultimate team trophy, Willingham can now hoist the top individual trophy.

Willingham was named the 2025-26 Gatorade Kansas Boys Soccer Player of the Year on Friday, June 12.

Willingham scored 37 goals and secured seven assists as the Junior Blues ended the season 19-1-1. He ended as Washburn Rural’s all-time goal scorer while also scoring the most goals in a single season.
After the season, Willingham was also named an All-American by the United Soccer Coaches federation. Willingham was the only player from Kansas to receive this award.
Willingham is set to play college soccer at the University of Nebraska Omaha in the Summit League.
