The 2026 Iowa high school boys state baseball tournament is in the books.
By Friday night, four teams had reached the mountaintop and earned the honor of calling themselves state champions.
Each of those winning teams faced a daunting challenge on Monday, July 20, at the start of the competition. But they all made it through the gauntlet unscathed to earn the crown.

While all four squads are state title winners forever, the Des Moines Register has left it up to the fans to decide which individual player was the most impressive over the last week of competition. Vote for one of our selected nominees, or write in a candidate you feel strongly about that we may have overlooked.
Readers will have until 11:59 p.m. on August 1 to cast their vote in our fan poll for who they think the most outstanding player at this year’s tournament was.
