Watch: Vanessa Trump Shares Breast Cancer Diagnosis, Undergoes Procedure
Vanessa Trump is detailing a recent health battle.
The model and ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr. shared that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in “a personal health update.”
“While this isn’t news anyone expects,” Vanessa wrote onInstagram May 20, “l’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan.”
The 48-year-old also revealed she underwent an undisclosed procedure earlier in the week and noted her gratitude for the doctors who performed it.
Vanessa—who was married to Donald Jr. from 2005 to 2018—then gave a shoutout to her kids Kai, 19, Donald, 17, Tristan, 14, Spencer, 13, and Chloe, 11, saying, “I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me.”
“Thank you for your kindness and support,” she continued. “It truly means more than I can express.”
She ended her message by “kindly” asking for privacy, explaining she wanted to keep her “focus on my health and recovery.”
Vanessa—who has been dating Tiger Woods since 2025—was quickly flooded with love and support in the comments, with her former sister-in-law Ivanka Trump writing, “Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you mama.”
The week before her medical update, Vanessa’s daughter Kai graduated from Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The teen documented the day in a May 20 Instagram Story, teasing a longer upcoming video on her YouTube channel.

In the video, Kai took her fans through the day, which included taking graduation photos and getting her makeup done. She alsosaid she put on waterproof mascara and eyeliner “just in case I do end up crying.”
The video concluded with a shot of Kai and her classmates throwing their caps in the air.
And the competitive golfer was especially grateful to have mom as her role model.
“I’m so thankful and lucky to have you in my life,” she wrote in a May 10 Mother’s Day tribute. “Thank you for always supporting me and loving your 5 kids. You are such an amazing Mom and we are all so lucky to have you. I appreciate you more than anything.”
