Vancouver police have released surveillance video of two possible witnesses in a homicide late last month in CRAB Park.

Victor Charles McIntyre, 57, died after being found in medical distress in the Downtown Eastside waterfront park early on the morning of Sept. 23. He died at the scene despite life-saving efforts by first responders.

It was the city’s sixth homicide of the year. Police have not identified any suspects.

The videos show a man and woman, both of whom police believe might have information about the killing.

One shows a woman wearing a yellow long-sleeved shirt, green pants and burgundy shoes walking near Main and East Cordova streets in the early morning hours of Sept. 23.

The other shows a man wearing a black jacket over a red-and-blue shirt with white lettering, black pants, white shoes and carrying a longboard, walking along Columbia and Keefer streets.

“Investigators believe these individuals may have information that could assist this ongoing homicide investigation,” said Const. Megan Lui. “If you are this man or woman, or know who they are, we would ask that you contact VPD immediately.”

Anyone with information, and anyone who was in or around CRAB Park between 9 p.m. on Sept. 22 and 7 a.m. on Sept. 23, is asked to contact the VPD homicide unit at 604-717-2500.

Police also continue to ask anyone who knew McIntyre to get in touch.
