Vancouver finally has a two-Michelin-star restaurant — here’s who got it

Michelin has revealed its 2026 picks for Vancouver, and it’s a historic day for our food scene: AnnaLena has become the first restaurant in the city to earn two Michelin stars.

The results were announced the morning of Oct. 6 in a press release, which means restaurants across the city now know whether they kept their spot or made the prestigious international guide for the first time.

AnnaLena was the only restaurant to earn a new star this year, picking up its second, while Barbara, a one-star restaurant last year, now appears in the guide as recommended.

This is Michelin’s fifth edition in Vancouver. The city’s inaugural selection was revealed in October 2022, just weeks after the guide made its Canadian debut in Toronto. Michelin now has guides in Toronto, Vancouver and, most recently, Quebec.

The Guide’s restaurants are chosen by anonymous Michelin Guide inspectors. Distinctions include Michelin stars (one, two or three), Bib Gourmands (great quality food at good prices) and Recommended restaurants (good cooking).
